Old Town Albuquerque has a central plaza, like most New Mexican towns and it also has buildings in Adobe architecture in the surrounding area. Central Avenue in the Nob Hill area is the center of the Route 66 culture of the city and it has several stores and restaurants. I never visited that area myself so I can't say if it's worth a visit or not.
