As with many Swiss cities, Basel has a scenic location on the river, in this case, the Rhine. Climb the riverside of both sides of the water and find stunning views of a beautiful city. Some of the main sights are the Old Town (Altstadt) with an over 500-year-old former Cathedral (Basel Minster).
