There's a lot of foot traffic on this part of the street since there's an entrance to the subway located here.
The dancing fountain is the main attraction of Union Square.
In Romanian they're called Fântâna lui Bucur.

Walking paths allow you to get very close to much of the area, despite it also being a vehicle roundabout.
During the day the park is pleasant and used by a lot of people.
Large parts of the park are not developed yet though.
There's huge potential for some refurbishment and modernization in the part of the square that's called Parcul Unirii (Union Park).

The park and square are a thoroughfare for pedestrian traffic in the area.
Piața Unirii was one of the proposed locations for the People's Salvation Cathedral. This is a monument celebrating this proposed location. The Cathedral is currently being built near the Palace of the Parliament.
Entrance in the Northeastern corner, on a busy intersection where several of the largest roads in the city both connects and changes name.

Bucharest Artesian Fountains, The Dancing Fountains of Bucharest, Fântâna lui Bucur. They have several names.
Make sure to visit Piața Unirii on a day with blue skies.
