Brühlschen Garten (Brühl's Garden) is a small park at the Eastern end of Brühlsche Terrasse (Brühl's Terrace) in the Altstadt of Dresden. The garden on its own is not well known as a sight, but the terrace is one of the most well-known sights of the city. The whole terrace offers some great views of the Elbe and the Neustadt area of the city. You can also get some good views of the landmarks of Altstadt from various points of the terrace and the garden. The terrace and garden are named after Heinrich von Brühl (1700 - 1763). He was a Polish-Saxon statesman at the court of Saxony (which was based in Dresden) and the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.

An overview of Brühl's Garden from the South-Eastern entrance.
The park is small but offers a refuge from the city and the crowds for a few minutes.
From the park, you can get a great view of the Frauenkirche.
Brühl's Garden also offers great views of the Elbe and the buildings on the other side of the river. Such as the Sächsische Staatskanzlei (Saxon State Chamber), which is the office of the Minister-President of Saxony. The building is from the early 20th-century (1900 - 1904) and it's built in Historicistic style.
Another building you get a good view of is the Sächsisches Staatsministerium der Finanzen (Saxon Ministry of Finance). Both of these buildings are pleasant to look at, but there's no reason to get any closer than this. They're best viewed from a distance as there's not much to do or see in the buildings themselves.

Some of the sights and beautiful architecture along Brühl's Terrace, with the Katholische Hofkirche (Dresden Cathedral) in the distance.
A man painting on the stairs up to the garden. It's a good spot for people spotting and street photography in the summers.
A view of what he painted from a day earlier. The fountain is called Delphinbrunnen (Dolphine Fountain).
