Stortorget, literally translated as "The Grand Square", is a central square in Malmö, the third-largest city of Sweden. The square is one of the centrally located major squares in the city. The other two are Lilla Torg (Small Square) and Gustav Adolfs Torg (Gustav IV Adolf Square). Stortorget was constructed in 1538 on the grounds of an old church and cemetery. As a tourist, you will likely pass through this square. Landmarks worth noticing include the statue of Charles X Gustav of Sweden and the majestic Rådhus (City Hall), which at its completion in 1547 was the largest in the Nordics.
