Poincaré is the area north of Grande Île and close to the Central Station of Strasbourg. The area in itself doesn't really offer anything for a visitor in terms of architecture or sights, apart from the streets just along the river. There's also a shopping center, Place des Halles, but I can't say anything about it since I never even went near it.

Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune Catholic Church in Poincaré.
In Poincaré you won't find the same amounts of half-timbered houses as in the rest of the central parts of the city. Streets here look much more like most cities.
But there's a charm in that too. The area is still pretty and pleasant to look at.
In Poincaré you'll find small cafés pretty much everywhere.
