South Beach on the island of Miami Beach is one of the most prominent beach and party destinations in the world. There' you'll also find some of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture. Downtown Miami has undergone a "Manhattanization" in the past 15 years and now has over 50 skyscrapers.

Ocean Dr is the street where everything happens in South Beach. Here you'll find plenty of hotels and restaurants.
It's the last street before the beach. You do however not see the ocean from the street since there's a park and buffer area in between.
Miami Beach is known for its Art Deco architecture. Here's the Breakwater Hotel which is a good example of it.
Starlite Hotel is another good example. Both of these are at the center of Ocean Dr.
Shore Park Hotel is another nice building. Despite its quite bland design, the building is easily recognizable as Miami Beach.

South Pointe Park is the southern end of Miami Beach. It's easy to get here from South Beach and I can recommend taking a stroll.
South Pointe Pier will give you great views of South Beach.
Collins Ave is the second main street for Miami Beach. This street has more stores than Ocean Dr.
Ocean Drive.
Miami Beach is filled with back alleys that are not pleasant to look at, but they are somewhat iconic for the city.
