A popular seaside resort city in Northern Poland with the longest wooden pier in Europe as the main sight. The beaches near the pier are some of the most popular in Poland, and the waterfront is lined with several high-end hotels. Despite the small population of just 40 000, it has the highest property prices in all of Poland after the Capital of Warsaw. It's the smallest of the cities that make up the Trójmiasto (Tri-City) metropolitan area. The other cities are Gdańsk and Gdynia.

Sopot Pier
Longest Wooden Pier in Europe
Krzywy Domek
Crooked House
It's very different from the similar beach and tourism-focused towns in Southern Europe. This felt like a living town even outside of the tourist quarters. It is also a town with historic significance and it has been visited by many famous people throughout the years and continues to get high-profile guests even to this day.
Do I Recommend You To Visit?
If you're in Gdańsk, which I do recommend visiting, then you should also make a short trip to Sopot. But there's a reason that most visitors to Sopot are from nearby countries in Northern Europe. It's a good option for a closer vacation from there, but it's not a place to travel across the globe for.
Will I Come Back Again?
For that same reason; that it is close and easy to travel to Sweden, I can see myself traveling there again.
Weather During My Stay:
Terrible! Overcast and rain almost all the time.
Best:
The main pedestrian street is rather nice albeit typically touristy.
Not As Good:
It's a small and sleepy beach resort. If you want things to happen and to explore then it's not the place for you.

Krzywy Domek is a weird little house that is also a tourist attraction. Inside there are a few bars and cafés.

The beaches in Sopot are some of the most popular on the Baltic Sea.

Sopot actually has some interesting buildings from an architectural point of view and it is definitely worth taking a photo walk through the town.
