Vilnius has one of the best-preserved Old Towns in Europe, and it is also the Northernmost and Easternmost large city with a considerable collection of Baroque architecture. The Old Town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. Great views of the city and landscape can be found from the remains of the Upper Castle of the Vilnius Castle Complex. The only major remains of the Castle is the Gediminas Tower, which is a prominent feature of the Vilnius Skyline.
